Morgan Trojans (Morgan, UT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host South Summit Wildcats (Kamas, UT), 73-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Morgan upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Trojans host Grantsville (Grantsville, UT) to play the Cowboys in a 3A Region 13 bout on Friday, January 13. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Grantsville won 52-38 in their recent league bout against Ben Lomond (Ogden, UT)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Ogden Tigers (Ogden, UT) in a 3A Region 13 bout, on Friday, January 13. South Summit will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 58-46 non-league loss to Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT).
