Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL), 72-67 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rochelle upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Hubs host Sycamore (Sycamore, IL) to play the Spartans in a Interstate Eight bout on Friday, January 13. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Sycamore lost 72-52 in their recent league bout against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)

Next up, the Pirates play the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a Interstate Eight bout, on Friday, January 13. Ottawa will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Reapers come into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 57-43 non-league loss to Newark (Newark, IL).
