Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Triton Regional Vikings (Byfield, MA), 63-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Saugus upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Sachems travel to Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA) to clash with the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Masconomet Regional lost 51-44 in their recent league bout against Salem (Salem, MA)
Next up, the Vikings clash with the Lynnfield Pioneers (Lynnfield, MA) in a Cape Ann - Large bout, on Friday, January 13. Triton Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 77-26 non-league win over Rockport (Rockport, MA).
