Temecula Prep Patriots (Winchester, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host California Military Institute Rough Riders (Perris, CA), 46-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Temecula Prep upgrades its record to 2-13 on the campaign. The Patriots host Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School (Temecula, CA) to play the Mustangs in a South Valley bout on Friday, January 13. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School lost 39-30 in their recent league bout against Santa Rosa Academy (Menifee, CA)

Next up, the Rough Riders play the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors (Bermuda Dunes, CA) in a South Valley bout, on Friday, January 13. California Military Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Conquerors come into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 43-22 league win over Nuview Bridge (Nuevo, CA).
