In Wednesday's non-league outing, the West Side Pirates (Dayton, ID) basketball squad beat the visiting Declo Hornets (Declo, ID), by a count of 54-38.
The Pirates (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Malad (Malad, ID). The Dragons go into the 2A South East Idaho outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, Malad was topped by Soda Springs (Soda Springs, ID), 57-19, in a league outing.
The Hornets now hold a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Wendell for a 2A Canyon outing on Tuesday, January 17. Declo will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 54-48 non-league loss to Valley (Hazelton, ID). The Trojans record now stands at 3-13.
