Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Elk County Catholic Crusaders (St. Marys, PA), 36-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Punxsutawney upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Chucks travel to St. Marys (St. Marys, PA) to play the Flying Dutch in a District 9 bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Flying Dutch come into the bout with a record of 12-1.

Next up, the Crusaders play the St. Marys Flying Dutch (St. Marys, PA) in a District 9 bout, on Saturday, January 14. Elk County Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
