England Lions (England, AR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. Joseph Bulldogs (Conway, AR), 55-49 in a league bout.

With the win, England upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Lions host Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR) to clash with the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Marmaduke won 55-51 in their recent league bout against Riverside (Lake City, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Jacksonville Lighthouse Wolves (Jacksonville, AR) in a 2A Region 5 bout, on Saturday, January 14. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
