Poland Tornadoes (Poland, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mt. Markham Mustangs (West Winfield, NY), 77-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Poland upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Waterville (Waterville, NY) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Waterville lost 40-33 in their recent league bout against Mt. Markham (West Winfield, NY)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Morrisville-Eaton Warriors (Morrisville, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Mt. Markham will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
