Sahuarita Mustangs (Sahuarita, AZ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Walden Grove Red Wolves (Sahuarita, AZ), 57-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Sahuarita upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Amphitheater (Tucson, AZ) to clash with the Panthers in a 4A Gila bout on Monday, January 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Amphitheater lost 57-38 in their recent non-league bout against Safford (Safford, AZ)

Next up, the Red Wolves clash with the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ) in a 4A Gila bout, on Thursday, January 12. Walden Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Thunderbolts go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 56-48 league win over Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ).
