North Carolina High School Basketball - Towns County trounces Summit Charter

January 11, 2023: Cashiers, NC 28717

The Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) basketball crushed the host Summit Charter Bears (Cashiers, NC), 65-26 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Indians (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA). The Titans go into the A D2 Region 8A test with a 14-1 record. In their last test, Lake Oconee Academy walloped Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA), 59-17, in a non-league test.

The Bears now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Highlands for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Summit Charter will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 49-33 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-4.
