Maryland High School Basketball - Winters Mill ripped by Westminster

The Westminster Owls basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Winters Mill Falcons to 26 in the Owls league triumph on Wednesday.

The Owls now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Linganore for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Westminster will battle a Lancers team coming off a 64-23 league win over Tuscarora (Frederick, MD). The Lancers record now stands at 12-0.

The Falcons (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD). The Mavericks enter the Carroll County contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Manchester Valley was routed by Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD), 40-30, in a league contest.
