Virginia High School Basketball - Covington knocked off by Auburn

The Auburn Eagles basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting Covington Cougars to 25 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Galax for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Auburn will battle a Maroon Tide team coming off a 36-25 non-league win over Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 8-4.
The Cougars (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Green Waves enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Narrows ran past Craig County (New Castle, VA), 38-15, in a non-league contest.
