Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA), 56-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dobyns-Bennett upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Gate City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Generals come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 34-15 non-league win over Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA).
