Pioneer Patriots (Woodland, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA), 61-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Pioneer upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Patriots host Woodland (Woodland, CA) to play the Wolves in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Woodland lost 46-10 in their recent league bout against Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Dixon Rams (Dixon, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 13. Mesa Verde will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 47-18 league win over Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA).
