In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC), by a margin of 66-40.
The Red Barons (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against South Creek (Robersonville, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, South Creek was trounced by Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC), 70-26, in a league outing.
The Panthers now own a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to First Flight for a non-league outing on Friday, January 13. Pasquotank County will clash with a Nighthawks squad coming off a 57-15 non-league win over Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 5-5.
