Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings confront the Wilcox Chargers (Santa Clara, CA) in a SCVAL - De Anza challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Palo Alto will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record.

The Mustangs now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilcox for a SCVAL - De Anza challenge on Friday, January 13. Homestead will confront a Chargers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Mountain View (Mountain View, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 3-3.
