In Thursday's league match, the host Amelia County Raiders basketball team scored a decisive 57-36 triumph over the Lunenburg Central Chargers.

In their next game, the Raiders meet the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) in a James River match, on Friday, January 12. Amelia County will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record.
