Arizona High School Basketball - Buena holds off Ironwood Ridge

January 11, 2024: Sierra Vista, AZ 85635

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ) and the visiting Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ), saw Buena's basketball squad hold off Ironwood Ridge by a tally of 72-70.

With the victory, Buena improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Colts host Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ) to confront the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. Brophy College Prep lost 68-56 in their recent league challenge against Basha (Chandler, AZ)

Next up, the Nighthawks confront the Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Ironwood Ridge will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 78-47 non-league loss to Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ).
