California High School Basketball - Piner overwhelmed by Cardinal Newman

The Cardinal Newman Cardinals basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Piner Prospectors to 23 in the Cardinals league victory on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Windsor for a North Bay - Oak contest on Saturday, January 13. Cardinal Newman will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 46-31 league loss to Montgomery (Santa Rosa, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-12.
The Prospectors (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Montgomery (Santa Rosa, CA). The Vikings come into the North Bay - Oak contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Montgomery triumphed over Windsor (Windsor, CA), 46-31, in a league contest.
