Carney-Nadeau Wolves (Carney, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mid Peninsula Wolverines (Rock, MI), 59-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carney-Nadeau upgrades its record to 4-9 on the season. The Wolves travel to Munising (Munising, MI) to play the Mustangs in a Central Upper Peninsula bout on Monday, January 15. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Munising won 47-46 in their recent league bout against Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI)

Next up, the Wolverines play the North Central Jets (Powers, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Mid Peninsula will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record.
