Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Central Bearcats (Battle Creek, MI), 44-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lakeshore upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Lancers host Canton (Canton, MI) to play the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Beavers go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 66-47 league win over Pennfield (Battle Creek, MI).
