West Morris Mendham Minutemen (Mendham, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chatham Cougars (Chatham, NJ), 46-45 in a league bout.

With the win, West Morris Mendham upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Minutemen host Newton (Newton, NJ) to clash with the Braves in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Newton lost 63-51 in their recent league bout against Wallkill Valley (Hamburg, NJ)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Randolph Rams (Randolph, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - American bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Chatham will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 57-54 non-league loss to Roxbury (Succasunna, NJ).
