The Ladysmith Lumberjacks basketball team scored 76 points and held the host Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs to 53 in the Lumberjacks league triumph on Thursday.

The Lumberjacks now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cumberland for a Heart O'North contest on Tuesday, January 16. Ladysmith will meet a Beavers team coming off a 65-45 league win over Hayward (Hayward, WI). The Beavers record now stands at 6-5.

The Bulldogs (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern (Maple, WI). The Tigers enter the Heart O'North contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Northwestern was routed by St. Croix Central (Hammond, WI), 81-74, in a non-league contest.
