Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA), 80-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clinch County upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Atkinson County (Pearson, GA) to play the Rebels in a A D2 Region 2 bout on Friday, January 12. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Atkinson County lost 62-35 in their recent league bout against Lanier County (Lakeland, GA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA) in a A D2 Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 12. Echols County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 67-52 league loss to Charlton County (Folkston, GA).
