The Maranatha Christian Academy Mustangs (Brooklyn Park, MN) basketball nipped the host Como Park Cougars (St. Paul, MN), 87-80 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Cristo Rey Jesuit (Minneapolis, MN). The go into the AA Section 5 test with a 3-18 record. In their last test, Cristo Rey Jesuit was tipped by St. Croix Lutheran (West St. Paul, MN), 61-47, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host St. Paul Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 16. Como Park will encounter a Minutemen squad coming off a 97-42 non-league win over Bayfield (Bayfield, WI). The Minutemen record now stands at 9-3.
