The Jefferson Lions basketball team (Jefferson, OR), was overwhelmed 70-42 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Dayton Pirates (Dayton, OR)
The Pirates now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sheridan for a 3A PacWest battle on Tuesday, January 16.
The Lions (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR). The Eagles come into the 3A PacWest battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Santiam Christian trounced Scio (Scio, OR), 69-60, in a league battle.
