Drummond Lumberjacks (Drummond, WI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI), 55-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Drummond upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Butternut (Butternut, WI) to play the Midgets in a Northern Lights bout on Monday, January 15. The Midgets come into the bout with a record of 0-11.

Next up, the Castle Guards play the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a Northern Lights bout, on Monday, January 15. Washburn will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record.
