Illinois High School Basketball - Elgin Academy ripped by Latin

In Thursday's league match, the visiting Latin Romans basketball team scored a decisive 71-42 triumph over the Elgin Academy Hilltoppers.

In their next game, the Romans meet the Timothy Christian Trojans (Elmhurst, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 13. Latin will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 6-10 record after their 42-38 non-league loss to Ridgewood (Norridge, IL).

With the defeat, Elgin Academy moves to 8-11 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family (Downers Grove, IL) to meet the in a non-league match on Thursday, January 18. The enter the match with a record of 8-4.
