The Everett Alvarez Eagles basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Salinas Cowboys to 44 in the Eagles league victory on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monterey for a PCAL - Gabilan contest on Wednesday, January 17. Everett Alvarez will battle a Dores team coming off a 71-56 league win over Carmel (Carmel, CA). The Dores record now stands at 11-4.

The Cowboys (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Palma (Salinas, CA). The Chieftains come into the PCAL - Gabilan contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Palma was nudged by Oakwood (Morgan Hill, CA), 71-64, in a league contest.
