Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lynbrook Vikings (San Jose, CA), 49-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Fremont upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Pioneer (San Jose, CA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Pioneer lost 61-27 in their recent league bout against Westmont (Campbell, CA)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Lynbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 49-36 league win over Independence (San Jose, CA).
