The Fremont Packers basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Orchard View Cardinals to 50 in the Packers league triumph on Thursday.

The Packers now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whitehall for a Western Michigan Lakes - Lakes contest on Tuesday, January 16. Fremont will meet a Vikings team coming off a 91-54 league win over Oakridge (Muskegon, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 10-0.

The Cardinals (3-9) will now prepare for their bout against Ludington (Ludington, MI). The Orioles come into the Western Michigan Lakes - Lakes bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Ludington toppled Manistee (Manistee, MI), 52-44, in a league bout.
