Louisiana High School Basketball - River Oaks overwhelmed by Hillcrest Christian

The Hillcrest Christian Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host River Oaks Mustangs to 35 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin Academy for a MAIS 3A District 4 contest on Friday, January 12. Hillcrest Christian will battle a Cougars team coming off a 64-62 non-league win over Wilkinson County Christian Academy (Woodville, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 3-3.

The Mustangs (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against West Side Christian (El Dorado, AR). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, West Side Christian triumphed over Cornerstone Christian (Tillar, AR), 63-41, in a league contest.
