John Hancock Academy Rebels (Sparta, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Twiggs Academy Trojans (Jeffersonville, GA), 67-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, John Hancock Academy upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Rebels host Monsignor Donovan Catholic (Athens, GA) to play the Rams in a GIAA A Region 4 bout on Friday, January 12. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Monsignor Donovan Catholic won 74-36 in their recent league bout against David Emanuel Academy (Stillmore, GA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Windsor Academy Knights (Macon, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Twiggs Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 79-76 non-league loss to Gatewood (Eatonton, GA).
