Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR), 70-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Western Christian upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Pioneers host Chemawa Indian (Salem, OR) to play the Braves in a 2A Tri-River bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Chemawa Indian lost 66-59 in their recent league bout against Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR)

Next up, the Trojans play the Colton Vikings (Colton, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 76-42 league win over Gervais (Gervais, OR).
