Notre Dame Spartans (East Stroudsburg, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars (Bethlehem, PA), 83-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Notre Dame upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA) to play the Golden Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Golden Bears come into the bout with a record of 14-0. Mahanoy Area won 62-58 in their recent league bout against Tri-Valley (Hegins, PA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Salem Christian Eagles (Macungie, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Lehigh Valley Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 66-44 non-league loss to Clearfield Alliance Christian (Clearfield, PA).
