The Panther Valley Panthers basketball team (Lansford, PA), was toppled 68-53 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Lehighton Indians (Lehighton, PA)
The Indians now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blue Mountain for a Schuylkill County 1 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Lehighton will confront a Eagles team coming off a 76-54 league win over Tamaqua (Tamaqua, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-1.
The Panthers (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA). The Olympians come into the Schuylkill County 1 battle with a 1-14 record. In their last battle, Jim Thorpe was toppled by Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA), 61-45, in a league battle.
