The Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored 48 points and held the host North Bergen Bruins to 31 in the Soaring Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The Soaring Eagles now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to J.P. Stevens for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Union City will meet a Hawks team coming off a 63-54 league win over Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ). The Hawks record now stands at 7-5.

The Bruins (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bayonne (Bayonne, NJ). The Bees enter the Hudson County - American contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Bayonne was outscored by Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ), 76-53, in a non-league contest.
