Academy of the Holy Angels Angels (Demarest, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ), 53-18 in a league bout.

With the victory, Academy of the Holy Angels upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Angels host Tenafly (Tenafly, NJ) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Tenafly won 57-34 in their recent league bout against Bergenfield (Bergenfield, NJ)

Next up, the Spartans play the Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. DePaul Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.
