Alabama High School Basketball - Chilton County trounces Maplesville

January 11, 2024: Clanton, AL 35045

The Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL) basketball crushed the visiting Maplesville Red Devils (Maplesville, AL), 50-26 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Tigers (14-8) will now prepare for their test against Calera (Calera, AL). The Eagles go into the 6A Area 5 test with a 3-18 record. In their last test, Calera was trounced by Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL), 34-25, in a league test.

The Red Devils now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Verbena for a 1A Area 7 test on Friday, January 12. Maplesville will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 53-36 league loss to Billingsley (Billingsley, AL). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-8.
