Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL), 45-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Coal City upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Coalers host Peotone (Peotone, IL) to play the Blue Devils in a Illinois Central 8 bout on Thursday, January 18. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Peotone won 57-32 in their recent league bout against Manteno (Manteno, IL)

Next up, the Lions play the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 bout, on Thursday, January 18. Lisle will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record.
