The Fieldcrest Knights basketball team (Minonk, IL), was overwhelmed 60-35 in Thursday's league battle with the host Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL)
The Chiefs now possess a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Paso-Gridley for a non-league battle on Monday, January 15. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will confront a Titans team coming off a 41-28 non-league win over Ridgeview (Colfax, IL). The Titans record now stands at 11-6.
The Knights (13-6) will now prepare for their battle against Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Minutemen come into the Heart Of Illinois battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Lexington was overwhelmed by Heyworth (Heyworth, IL), 36-33, in a league battle.
