The Elkins Tigers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Fairmont Senior Polar Bears to 20 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robert C. Byrd for a Big Ten contest on Tuesday, January 16. Elkins will battle a Eagles team coming off a 40-36 non-league loss to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 6-4.

The Polar Bears (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Weir (Weirton, WV). The Red Riders enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Weir was routed by John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV), 60-35, in a non-league contest.
