Springdale Dynamos (Springdale, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ellis (Pittsburgh, PA), 26-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Springdale upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Dynamos host Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA) to play the Centurions in a WPIAL 2A 3 bout on Friday, January 12. The Centurions go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Greensburg Central Catholic won 78-60 in their recent league bout against Clairton (Clairton, PA)

Next up, the play the Serra Catholic Eagles (McKeesport, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Ellis will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
