Floodwood Polar Bears (Floodwood, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels (Moose Lake, MN), 64-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Floodwood upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Polar Bears host Barnum (Barnum, MN) to play the Bombers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Bombers come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Barnum lost 70-34 in their recent non-league bout against Cromwell (Cromwell, MN)

Next up, the Rebels play the Mora Mustangs (Mora, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Moose Lake/Willow River will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 70-23 league loss to Milaca (Milaca, MN).
