    The Monroe Hornets basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Franklin Wildcats to 22 in the Hornets league victory on Thursday.

    The Hornets now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley View for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20.

    The Wildcats (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Clinton-Massie (Clarksville, OH). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Clinton-Massie was defeated by Batavia (Batavia, OH), 38-31, in a league contest.
