New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), 56-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Albany upgrades its record to 3-13 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Ingomar (New Albany, MS) to clash with the Falcons in a 2A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 12. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 19-4. Ingomar won 57-24 in their recent non-league bout against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Jumpertown Cardinals (Booneville, MS) in a 1A Region 2 bout, on Thursday, January 18. Myrtle will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record.
