Pine Bush Bushmen (Pine Bush, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 82-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Pine Bush upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Bushmen travel to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Our Lady of Lourdes won 68-50 in their recent non-league bout against Shaker (Latham, NY)

Next up, the Goldbacks clash with the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County I bout, on Thursday, January 18. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 57-49 non-league win over Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY).
