In Thursday's non-league outing, the Onteora Eagles (Boiceville, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Rhinebeck Hawks (Rhinebeck, NY), by a count of 50-22.
The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Webutuck (Amenia, NY). The Warriors go into the Section 9 MHAL I outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Webutuck was crushed by Pine Plains (Pine Plains, NY), 33-26, in a league outing.
The Hawks now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Spackenkill for a non-league outing on Friday, January 12. Rhinebeck will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 47-39 league loss to Millbrook (Millbrook, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 3-4.
