Maryland High School Basketball - Paint Branch can't hold off Sherwood

The Sherwood Warriors basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Paint Branch Panthers to 46 in the Warriors league victory on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Poolesville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Sherwood will battle a Falcons team coming off a 42-39 league loss to Rockville (Rockville, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 4-5.

The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Walter Johnson edged Churchill (Potomac, MD), 67-36, in a non-league contest.
