Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Atkins upgrades its record to 1-11 on the campaign. The Camels host Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Northeast Guilford lost 44-36 in their recent league bout against Dudley (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Reagan Raiders (Pfafftown, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Mount Tabor will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 51-47 non-league win over Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC).
